.:HAVE I LOST MY WIFE BECAUSE I AM NOT A JEHOVAH’S WITNESS?

“Hi, would like some advice please. I am not and never have been a Jehovah’s Witness, and was a normal happy married man until 4 years ago when my wife started to do her study with Jehovah’s Witnesses. She has since been baptized and our marriage has failed. My question is: Have I lost her due to me not being a witness? Is there any evidence I can provide her with to try and get her back? I have no idea what to do. I believe in God. I pray and I live a normal life, but I am very confused and lost.”

OUR RESPONSE:

Dear friend,

It is so sad to hear of another marriage failing over this religion.  The Jehovah’s Witness belief system works to isolate a person in their mind from anyone else who doesn’t believe as they do.  So, while we can’t comment on the issues in your marriage that may have contributed to the separation between you both, the Jehovah’s Witness belief system certainly added to whatever rift may have already begun prior to her study with them.

We have a number of articles on our website that you can study to learn how to reach out to your wife. It is not easy, but if you directly attack her Jehovah’s Witness religion, you will create a BIGGER problem, because Jehovah’s Witnesses are a cult and they program their new followers not to listen to criticism about their religion.  So you will have to use an indirect method of winning her back.  Here are some resources on our site that will give you the tools to help you win her back:
