How can I find someone to study the Bible with me?

Bible Study.:HOW CAN I FIND SOMEONE TO STUDY THE BIBLE WITH ME?

“I have been studying the Bible with Jehovah’s Witnesses. When I found your website, I discovered that some of the beliefs that the Jehovah’s Witnesses have been teaching me are not accurate according to the Bible. I am confused and I really want to know what the Bible says. How can I find someone to meet with me and teach me how to study the Bible accurately?”

OUR RESPONSE:

Dear friend,

We appreciate your desire to know what the Bible says about how to know God and live a life that is pleasing to Him. Since our ministry is small and does not have enough staff to meet with you one-on-one, we recommend the ministry of The Navigators as well as the ministry of Bible Study Fellowship. They specialize in meeting people one-on-one to do home bible studies or meeting in small groups at local public places, and they have many staff and resources to help you learn how to study the Bible on your own. Here are a few of links to their websites that will help you:

BIBLE STUDY FELLOWSHIP GROUPS – www.bsfinternational.org

bullets STUDY THE BIBLE WITH A NAVIGATOR STAFF PERSON – Click on this map to find a Navigator staff person in your area to contact for a free home bible study. (www.navigators.org)

bullets THE RACE BEGINS BIBLE STUDY TRAINING GUIDE – Read this Bible Study Training Manual to learn how to read and study the Bible on your own. (from navigators.org and pfi.org) “The Race Begins” is a program for those who have recently accepted Christ.

  • Note: Even though this Bible study was first created to be used as a training guide to teach prison inmates about the Bible, it is still a good Bible study for ANYONE who wants to know more about the Bible.

If there are no Navigator staff people or Bible Study Fellowship groups in your area that are able to meet with you, you can always study the training manual linked above as well as visit a local Christian church in your area.  A few guidelines that can help you find a good Christian church are given in this article:
