I’M ENGAGED TO MARRY A JEHOVAH’S WITNESS. WHAT ARE THE PROS AND CONS OF A RELATIONSHIP WITH A JEHOVAH’S WITNESS?

I am a Christian who is engaged to marry a woman who was raised as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses but she is not a devout member herself. Her mother and step-father are very active in the Watchtower organization. She does have bible study with her mother and a few of her friends who are also Jehovah’s witnesses. My question is what would be the pro’s and con’s in terms of a relationship with a Jehovah’s Witness? Would it be more negative than positive in a marriage? WHO WE ARE – Ex-Jehovah’s Witnesses for Jehovah

 Who We Are

.:OUR RESPONSE TO A LETTER FROM A JEHOVAH’S WITNESS ASKING: “WHO ARE YOU? – Are You a Bunch of Apostates Who Don’t Believe Bible Teachings?”

I’m one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. When I read some of your statements on the website, it made me upset to think that there are really people out there like all of you who talk bad about us. Jehovah’s organization is the Truth, and some of you know that deep down in your hearts. But if this is your choice, I know it certainly will never be my choice. I will always praise and love Jehovah. I would never turn my back on Him and leave. Do you believe you are the true religion? How can you believe you are in the truth if you do not go door-to-door preaching the Kingdom? Are you just a bunch of ‘apostates’ who left the Watchtower because you don’t want to adhere to Bible standards? Do you celebrate pagan holidays, believe in war and the Trinity?” Continue reading “WHO WE ARE – Ex-Jehovah’s Witnesses for Jehovah”

DO THE BELIEFS OF JEHOVAH’S WITNESSES PROVE THEY ARE THE ONLY TRUE RELIGION? – 10 Questions for Jehovah’s Witnesses on How to Determine the True Religion

A common tactic used by those who oppose the beliefs of Jehovah’s Witnesses is to present photocopied documentation from Watchtower literature that demonstrates how the Watchtower Society has changed its beliefs and practices over the years.  Examples of these changes that are often discussed are given on pages 200-201 of the Watchtower Society’s 1993 history book entitled Jehovah’s Witnesses — Proclaimers of God’s Kingdom. On these pages, the Watchtower Society admits that in the 1920’s Jehovah’s Witnesses celebrated the holidays, including Christmas and birthdays, wore a cross and crown as a badge of identification and even used the cross as a symbol on the front cover of the “Watch Tower” from 1891 to 1931. Andrew – Ex-Jehovah’s Witness

andrew

.:THE TESTIMONY OF ANDREW

I was never a pioneer, an elder or a ministerial servant and I was never wrongly disfellowshipped. I don’t have any hard feelings towards any Witnesses whatsoever. My choice to leave the organization was strictly based on what I found out about the history of the organization, the roots of its teachings and its contrast with historic Christianity. I guess there were times when I felt I was a model Jehovah’s Witness, but then there were times when I can say just the opposite. I was the prodigal son on more than one occasion you might say. I hope to reach anyone who can identify with my story. Continue reading “Andrew – Ex-Jehovah’s Witness”
